Foodie Friday: Vanilla Cupcake

Vanilla Cupcake Recipe

Cake Ingredients:

Butter                             120 gram
Sugar                             120 gram              3/4 cup
Plain flour                       175 gram              1 1/3 cup
Baking powder                1 teaspoon
a pinch of salt
1/2 vanilla bean
3 eggs

Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F or GAS 4

1. Put the butter and sugar in a kitchen machine and mix until the batter is fluffy

2. Cut the vanilla bean open and add the seeds to the kitchen machine

3. Add one egg at a time and beat well after each addition

4. Add the flour, baking powder and salt into the kitchen machine

5. Beat the batter until everything is combined

6. Divide the batter between 12 cupcake cases

7. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Check with a skewer to make sure none of the batter sticks onto it.

Makes 12 normal sized cupcakes

Buttercream Ingredients:

Butter                             120 gram
Confectioners' sugar        500 gram             3 2/3 cup
Vanilla extract                 1 teaspoon
Milk                                1 tablespoon

You can make the buttercream while the cupcakes are in the oven or while they are cooling down. I usually start with it as soon as the cupcakes go in the oven so I have enough time :)

1. Put the butter in a kitchen machine and mix until the batter is fluffy

2. Add the sugar to the bowl and mix

3. Then add the vanilla extract and the milk

4. Mix until the batter is a creamy consistency, if it is to dry add some more milk

5. After the cupcakes are completely cold add the buttercream with a piping bag

6. Add some sugar toppings to your liking

I hope you like this recipe and give it a try :) And let me know how they turned out!

Manicure Monday: Baby Blue Glitter

Hello :)
So this week I have a very easy Nail Design for you!
All you really have to do is to apply a baby blue glitter polish

I did not use a top coat on this design
because glitter polish usually is very hard to get off your nails anyway

Next week I will be showing you how to easily remove the glitter polish, so stay tuned!

Have a great week and be happy :)

Manicure Monday: Pink & Gold

Happy Monday everybody!

I have a new post for you guys! It's a pink and gold nail design with some silver stickers.

I used two coats of the pink colour (O.P.I. - ElePhantastic Pink)

I outlined the shapes with tape

And then filled it in with the gold colour (ACO - Vegas Gold)

I added some silver stickers, just because I felt like it :)

Then I added a top coat to finish the design

Hope you liked it and will give it a try!

Sunday Funday

Hello everybody :)

Sunday is a great day to relax and spend some quality time with Family and Friends. What better way to end a eventful weekend then by sitting outside and enjoying a wonderful sunset?

I really like watching the sun go down as the sky changes its colours every few minutes. I could literally take 10 pictures per minute but somehow it always looks better in real life and also the pictures  can't make me feel the same way as reality does.

It doesn't matter where I am or who is with me, a nice sunset always makes me feel happy and calms me down. So if you ever feel sad or anxious try to catch a glimpse of the sun (Sunset or not, feeling the sun on your skin is always great)

Have a relaxing and sunny Sunday :)
